Free monthly educational field trips that are designed to keep students motivated towards their educational goals, reiterate what they are learning in the class room and create a positive environment for family engagement. Paid adults ($25) can bring up to 5 students at no charge. Admission, lunch and transportation included.
What’s better than Saturday brunch? Let’s add in a family day of recreation! Also, we will be unveiling our newest program: Rec-N-Roll. This newest park feature will connect with local neighborhoods and communities. We will also provide further details about how YOU can participate in our program. Come out and enjoy games, food trucks will be selling food + more.

The Douglasville PD invites local youth pastors to participate in a summit on topics impacting todays’ youth. Our staff would like all churches and religious affiliations to send a representative that works with the youth in the organization to come and get educated so that they can take it back and talk with their congregation.

The Douglasville Police Department is having a Parenting 101 class on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, starting at 6:30 pm in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room.
We will have community leaders discussing various topics. Alice Jackson and Tara Nichols will both be presenting.
Please join us as we discuss 21st century concepts to parenting.
We invite you to grab a mat and come join us. On nice days we will have yoga on our lawn, and on cold or wet days we will have it in the Douglasville Police Department Community Room next to the main building. This is a FREE class once a month on a scheduled Wednesday evening that begins at 5:30 pm and lasts about an hour. See our FB Event for a full schedule of all our dates available through December 2023. You do not have to sign up ahead of time. Just show up and be ready to exercise.
The Douglasville Police Department invites everyone to fellowship together while discussing topics impacting our community. Discussions are held on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month. (No 4th Thursday meetings in November or December, nor on holidays). We speak on local issues and work together as one for the benefit of the community. On Saturday, March 25, the Douglasville Police Department will be hosting a Community Job Fair outside on our front lawn. We are inviting all businesses in Douglasville, Douglas County, and surrounding to participate whether they are hiring for full-time, part-time, or temporary positions. Come and check out your employment options in one place. This will include all businesses as well as law enforcement agencies and other government employment opportunities. Businesses need to fill out information in order to have space available. We are taking businesses through March 20 (subject to change due to availability).

Mom, Dad, Aunty, or Grandma can take some time to complete errands while the child gets some time in a positive setting! Students discuss and participate in a creative coloring challenge and learn the importance of speaking positively about their lives with positive affirmations while being empowered to lead their best lives on a daily basis. $15 supply fee for the book—can be used for multiple classes.
